Sensei Pat Conley

Pat started Judo in high school in Altoona, PA where he got to the rank of yonkyu (green belt). He went to college at Penn State earning degrees in Physics (BS) and Computer Science (MS). After college he spent several years studying Daito Ryu Aki Jujitsu in New Jersey reaching the rank of Ikkyu. He then went to live and study the martial arts in Japan. While living in the home of his teacher (Katsumi Yonezawa Sensei) he spent all of his time studying various Japanese arts including Iaido, Chado, Go, Kendo, Judo and Jujitsu. During that time he earned the rank of Shodan in Kendo, Judo and Daito Ryu Aiki Jujitsu through competition and testing. Locally, is a graduate of the RIT Executive MBA Program (class of 2000) and has been training at Bushido Kai since January of 2006. His current interests are around improving his coaching and refereeing skills and certification. Pat works for VeriSign (www.verisign.com), an internet infrastructure and security company, where he is VP of Product Development.
